BALI PHOTO DIARY PART II

And so, day 2 of my Bali trip is up. Spent most of it lazing around the pool area after a hefty buffet breakfast so in another sense, nursing the food baby in calm waters. Which led to, of course, terrible sunburns. Yes, we were all aching and yelping whenever someone touched the red spots. Made sitting in the mini family tour bus (squished, I might add) and lounging on leather couches impossible.

We then went to explore the nearby neighbourhood after the swimming session, well in search for ice cream and sacred ancient temples (not quite, but we can pretend huh?). Cheapest Magnums ever. We then fled from the forest-y area soon after some shots and Erman informing me in horror that he saw 2 large mosquitoes leeching onto his arm and he was pretty convinced a flock of them might end him.

Note:
  • Never get bored of gorgeous sunsets
  • You can wear your $5 slippers with whichever garment you brought and not get judged
  • Coconuts grow to the size of your head
  • DO NOT put lipgloss in the bag that is heading towards the beach
  • Bring mosquito repellent (and spam)
  • Pineapples are of absolute abundance
  • Houseflies are relentless

IPHONE DIARIES IN BALI I

iPhone pictures from the first day (that I conveniently forgot to upload along with part I, damn)

1. The sunset at the dinner place on the first night. I wasn't kidding about it being breathtakingly intense. Audible gasp, check.

2. Overhead Singapore, bidding goodbye.

3. Yet another (almost) sunset at the Uluwatu Temples. And notice, the rainbow ring. So magical.

4. Airplane essentials: A book with casual interesting photos thrown around haphazardly with insight captions by one of your favourite people make for life pondering in the plane all the more enjoyable. Finding a comfortable spot is difficult in a flight. I chose to put both my legs up on the sleeping boyfriend. Girlfriend points? Not much... Also, make sure your lips stay hydrated with lip balm. I love my Christmas gifted Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in 'Petal'. Super nice smelling and everything.

5. So tempted to find a way to sneak to the amazing waves down shore. Probably will end up dead on the rocks if I did though.

BALI PHOTO DIARY PART I

(Lace top from Bugis Street, Zara lace shorts, Nike sneakers, Zara inspired kimono)

Photos by Erman and I

Finally up with the Bali photo diary! This is just day 1, because I don't wanna overwhelm you guys with an overflow of pictures and believe me when I say there is A LOT.

Anyway, day 1 was spent arriving at Bali and being kinda blinded in the eyes by the sun, roaming around the Uluwatu Temples filled with monkeys that might possibly snatch your necklace off, being all amazed at the vibrant shoreline and hills, a mini rainbow sighting near the "waterfall" at the Resort we were staying at and having a great seafood dinner with an intense sunset overhead at the beach accompanied by an acoustic band singing to couples on their honeymoon (like the type of scenarios you only see in movies!). I had to wear the purple cover-up at the temple for respect in case you were wondering.

Sorry for rambling all in one sentence. I couldn't stop. More on my trip soon!
