SUCH AN UNEXPECTED TWIST

(H&M twisted back dress, H&M bra, H&M bag, Taiwan boots, accessories from H&M and Lovisa)

Photos by Erman

Saved my favourite picture for last. Wearing so much H&M that I'm beginning to doubt my interest for other brands exist. But whatever, this wispy dress will be a definite staple piece for summer, with it's low neck front and surprise element: the draped twisted knot at the back. Perfect for thin strapped bra..incorporation. Funny how I wore the same boots as the last time photos were shot on Mayflower place.

Been so long since some Erman photography appeared here and this is because we haven't had proper dates together for a loooong time. Hence, a tad bit of image vomit induced. But I know you readers enjoy his visuals right? This was the night of hanging around town, having dinner at 9, ice cream indulgence with waffles, midnight screening of Star Trek in a freezing cold theatre (the leather jacket wasn't much help), post science museum feelings, attempting at stealing BreadTalk's leftover muffins only to discover that we were being watched by security and nostalgic 4am walks.

Every friday should be like this. Now here comes Monday, along with it's dreaded blues.

DAYDREAMING

 Photos from style.com and tumblr.com

Going through one of my most sloppy feeling phases of school life, feeling ill and so throughly exhausted. All sleepwear, inappropriately intriguing pajama-esque pieces, seems so completely relevant to wear right now.

MUGGED

(Editor's Market white embroidered shirt, Selcouth ripped denim, chunky platforms from City Plaza, Lovisa gold chain bracelet (gifted), Cotton On watch)

Photos by Rebecca and Fiona

Kinda intrigued by how the first photo looks like a mug shot if you zoom on it close enough. Omakase burger was rather empty that day; pretty sure the $15 burgers scared people away, but presented a good chance to take photos in the shop which had natural light spilling all over the place. Plus I love the white brick wall and wooden furnishings. Then we headed outside to take more full shots of my outfit and I was so glad to be able to find some random jungle area. Made my causal outfit stand out more I think.

I was trying hard to find perfect bottoms to match this intricate shirt and even though I had a wardrobe full of options, none made the cut until I found this pair of ripped jeans in Selcouth whilst conducting an interview with Mae (the owner). She gave me a pretty decent discount and I couldn't find it in me to say no to $30 denim. Plus I have been looking for a pair of ripped ones for the longest time. Immediately I knew I had to pair it with this shirt.

Been on a shopping binge recently. Bought two pairs of strappy sandals and now am still deciding to buy two more from Taobao... I'm terrible.

THE POLYVORE COLLECTION

Photos from tumblr and polyvore

One of my favourite sources of inspiration is through polyvore sets and I've collected so many through tumblr so I thought I would share some! Hope you all would enjoy.

I think I've recommended this tumblr site before, but whatever, I get all my polyvore inspirations from here!

SURVIVOR

(H&M oversized knit, Zara leather skirt, Cotton Body socks, boots from Taiwan)

Photos by Fiona

My personal way of surviving 'cold' and rainy weather in Singapore is to rake your closet for your chunkiest and coziest knit, grab leather bottoms (I really need some solid leather skinnies or I'll go out of my mind), put on your most comfortable pair of socks and slap on some boots (crucial for puddle prevention). This formula didn't seem so smart after the rain went away and left behind what's left of it aka HIGH humidity.

Surprisingly, not exactly the outfit you will picture me in when I tell you I went for a swim straight after the photos were taken. Guess who's not scoring too well on the priorities setting scale?

HIPPIE HIPPIE MONDAY

(Cotton On knit, lace flare pants from City Plaza, chunky platforms from City Plaza)

Photo by Rebecca, taken with iPhone 4s

Channeling my inner hippie with these pants. So comfortable, it was like wearing sweatpants to school. Got so many compliments with them haha! Thanks to Becca for convincing me to buy them for a mere 10 bucks.
Didn't know what took me so long to decide.
