I wanted to start a little series on my blog to feature my monthly favourite beauty and fashion items to kind of push me to post regular content for this space. But I got kinda stuck thinking of a substantial number of items per month, so I pulled together 3 months worth of products instead.
Hope you'll enjoy this series and let me know if you have any other types of posts you'll like to see on here!
Loving this piece of decor in my room since I got it last Christmas. Just look at that marble holder! It smells divine and it quickly fills up the entire room with scents of Cassis and Geranium. You can still get the short version on
here.
Since its launch, the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint has been very well received so I thought I'd pick up a tube to try it out. I think it has a really pretty finish (like velvet) even without it being set with powder and it keeps my skin decently matte.
Only thing was I felt that the shade (Light 2; Alaska) I picked up was a little too yellow for my liking so I tend to mix it with my concealer to compensate.
Understated peach blushers are the best and this Peach Blush by Model's Own is just that. I received this as a gift and been using it every single day since I got it. It has a matte finish but with specks of shimmer so there's an iridescent glow to it. So so pretty and I've hit pan already.
I never believed in only using one mascara. For the full spidery effect, I coat my lashes the Heroine Make Long & Curl Waterproof mascara first before layering the Urban Decay Perversion mascara which is great for that extra boost of volume!
My favourite lip combo is with my Sephora Lip Liner To Go in Pale Beige and the MAC matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy. Peach mauve colour with a brown undertone is definitely my vibe.
Now on to skincare!
Sleeping in air-conditioning every night can cause the skin to be really dry throughout the night and that is never good. I love this Korean moisturiser from The Saem which is the Iceland Water Volume Cream for Oily skin because it is really lightweight in its gel consistency but nourishing enough to hydrate my skin throughout the night. Also, it is water-based and contains no alcohol which is always great ;)
And of course your lips should be moisturised too! This coconut balm dot com from Glossier is literally the BOMB DOT COM. It hydrates my lips like no other and I wake up to plump and moist lips every morning thanks to this! It is actually a universal skin salve which means you can also use it to help with dry patches on your skin.
Glossier products really hit the mark for me with my first order (see above for review on their lip balm). I was so impressed that I immediately went to place my next order. These two masks used together one after another makes my skin feel like velvet.
Used this as a spot treatment and it worked decent. I actually didn't like it all that much after awhile but it's in the flatlay so just a brief mention shall do.
A primer that refines, smooths and fills pores for that smooth canvas to put your foundation on. Plus points for affordability!
This roll-on perfume cost me a mere $10, what?! Honestly the perfume section at Zara is pretty decent so check it out if you can. This one is by far my favourite because it has a very pleasant floral woody scent that I think most people would like.
This body butter smells amazing! Sweet but bearably so. Very moisturising of course as this is the very dry skin formula and leaves your skin luxuriously soft I swear.
Alright, after all that long rambling I hope you did enjoy this short post about my Jan - Mar favourites and do let me know what other products I should try out if you think I might like it!
